Sustainable waste processing

At Quatra, we collect your used cooking oil and grease and recycle them into sustainable biofuel. This recycling process is almost 100% automatic and meets the strictest standards.

Nothing is wasted: 100% recycling

Our commitment to 100% energy recovery from waste:

We recycle cooking oil into the raw material for sustainable fuels.
Frying residues are utilized to produce biogas.
Other waste streams, like plastics, are carefully washed, sorted, and sent for recycling.

What happens to the collected oil?

After collecting used cooking oils and grease, we process them and then send them to partner companies. These companies convert the used oil into sustainable biofuel (sustainable aviation fuel, SAF, and sustainable biodiesel) which emits 90% less CO₂ than regular diesel

The solid waste present in this oil forms the basis for biogas production. Additionally, other types of waste, such as plastic, are washed and sorted for further recycling

Efficient collection and future-proof processing site

From the pickup of your blue drums to the processing and transformation into sustainable biofuel, we manage every step of the cooking oil and grease processing as efficiently and climate-neutrally as possible. We strategically plan the routes of our collection vehicles to minimize unnecessary travel.

By actively participating in the reduction of carbon emissions through responsible resource management, we aim to contribute significantly to Europe's journey towards a carbon-neutral future by 2050. We are proud to have received recognition from the EU in the form of the ISCC certificate, a testament to our ongoing efforts in shaping a more sustainable world.

Sustainability and certificates

ISCC certificates

To ensure a transparent traceability of the waste used, certification of all operators is essential. The ISCC system serves this purpose, requiring users of cooking oils and fats to sign a self-declaration before their used cooking fats and oils can enter the ISCC circuit.
