Operations & Logistics Director

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management & Operational Visits

• Conduct frequent visits to all operational sites in Spain to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance with Quatra Group standards.
• Apply and adapt operational best practices from Quatra Group reference sites to the Spanish plants and warehouses.
• Lead a review of the plant network in Spain, assessing the optimal configuration — including potential consolidations — to increase scale and efficiency [KPI: processing cost per sellable ton].
• Identify and propose CAPEX investments to boost site efficiency, presenting the plan to the Spain Management Team.
• Define the appropriate team size for each plant and directly manage the Local Managers.
• Provide active on-site oversight of the design and build of the new processing plant (in coordination with the Change Manager).
• Develop and implement efficient logistics flows between warehouses and processing facilities.
• Collaborate with Route Planning to ensure end-to-end flow integration from customer to plant.

Strategic Fleet Management

• Lead the Fleet Maintenance Technician and define the overall vehicle fleet management policy.
• Optimise the total cost of ownership of the fleet (acquisition, maintenance, repair and spare vehicles).
• Ensure fleet regulatory compliance: inspections, insurance and road safety standards.
• Make decisions on vehicle additions, removals and renewals across the fleet.

Health, Safety & Sustainability

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations at all sites under your responsibility.
• Lead safety audits and follow-up visits at operational centres.
•  Drive the implementation of Quatra Group sustainability standards across all plant operations.

Field Team Leadership

• Develop and motivate operational teams — Local Managers and plant operators — fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement aligned with Quatra values.
• Define objectives and KPIs for each site and conduct regular reviews with the Local Managers.
• Ensure the right team structure and staffing levels at each plant.

Coordination with the Operations & Logistics Manager

• Align with the Manager on operational data from the sites that feeds reporting and logistics flows.
• Review and validate operational budgets and cost-saving proposals prepared by the Manager.
• Act as the escalation point for operational issues that cannot be resolved remotely by the Manager.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or similar (Master's is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial or logistics operations with regular site presence.
• Proven track record in multi-site management and field team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management and transport operations.
• Ability to evaluate investments and present CAPEX proposals to senior leadership.
• Availability for frequent travel to operational sites across Spain.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
• Experience with ERP systems; Odoo is a plus.
